Born and raised in the Washington, DC. Adrienne’s love for music started the day she was born. She grew up watching her father teach music (Band Director) in DC public schools, listen to him play jazz at home, in bands around town (she once played the tambourines with them on stage at about eight years old). Her father also played with Gladys Knight and the Pips!
Adrienne began playing the violin at the age of six, and soon found her favorite instrument, the flute! She studied music at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in D.C., under Mr. Norman Brentley. She attending Norfolk State University on a four year Music Scholarship! Performed in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for four years as first chair flute during the Spring. During the Fall, she marched in the Norfolk State University Marching Spartan Legion Band as a “HOT ICE” Dancer! Both under the direction of Emory L. Fears. Currently, she is a faithful member of the NSU Alumni Band!
